MARVIN SHIELDS SEABEE BATTALION
United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps
A non-profit leadership development program for ages 10 through the completion of high school.
We have nearly 400 units in 46 states, Guam and Puerto Rico.
Our cadets wear Navy uniforms and can train aboard naval ships and on naval bases.
Our compelling training program occurs around the country
during school vacations and covers various careers fields.
Our program changes lives by exposing cadets to new challenges and teaching them important skills
like leadership and teamwork.

OUR SERVICES
MONTHLY DRILL
A Perfect Fit
Monthly Drill weekends are typically on the third weekend of every month. Trainings vary, but cadets should expect:

Physical training

Practice with military bearing & marching

Color guard practice

Coursework to advance in rank
Some months we have special instruction with guest speakers or overnight drill trainings where we learn something specific and we always have an annual banquet for the cadets and their family.

Community Service Hours
Our unit participates in multiple Community Service events every year, providing many hours of possible community service that can be credited to your high school requirements.

Give Back, As a Special Guest or as an Adult Volunteer

Active Duty Military, Retired Military, and Civilians ALL have value to the USNSCC
and can help our cadets grow in the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps Program.
A volunteer must be:

A U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
-
Free of felony convictions
-
Possess good moral character & a sound mind
-
Be capable of credibly communicating USNSCC values to our cadets.
Each adult will undergo a background investigation during the enrollment process.
